Family Background

I was born in Carluke, Scotland. My parents (Margeret and Danny) were going through a rough patch and divorced shortly after my first birthday. My sister, the middle child stayed with my biological mother, whereas my brother, the oldest went to our Grans (on the mothers side). However I was just a baby and my Mother didn't want me and my Father couldn't cope having me and a full time job.

Anyway, the original plan was to have me put in a childrens home, however my Gran (on the fathers side) had told one of her sisters what was happening and she was outraged, she said that no relation of hers was going into a home and said that she would take me. She then got her youngest son (William) and her daughter (Eliza) to get in the car with her and head up to Scotland

They arrived and I was handed over with a bag full of dirty clothes (which got threw in the bin) and thats just about that.. from the age of 13 month I was brought up with them. My grans sister (Eliza) was quite old so couldn't take on the role of mum, so that fell to her daughter, and well with the youngest son living at home I kind of started calling him Dad from an early age

It's not the most conventional of set ups, but i've known from an early age (as soon as I could understand) the whole story and I've had a fantastic upbringing. The family I acquired have never been well off, but I never did without and thanks to them i've gone through university and got a good degree and I'm now in a good job.

My brother and sisters lives haven't always gone to plan though. However they both seem to be settling down now.

I do have occasional contact with my biological father, however i've never met my biological mother and to be honest I don't really want nor need to

I feel blessed for having the upbringing that I have and I wouldn't change it for the world!

Career

1999 - 2000 Gripple Limited - 1 Year industrial placelement - I did system, database and network admin and dealt with IT support for whole company alongside systems director

2001 - 2002 Wave Technologies - I did administration for the Technical Mentoring Department, also participated in some system testing during roll out of new database

2002 - Now Pink Roccade - I am currently employed by Pink Roccade as a support analyst, I am currently contracted out to Yell (home of yellow pages) and I work on their Front line helpdesk.
